BGP, DNS & Firewall Setup

I’m bringing a new broadband network online and need an experienced network engineer to handle several critical pieces at once: BGP routing, authoritative DNS, firewall hardening, and a reliable VPN tunnel for remote access. Scope of work • Review my current topology and broadband carrier hand-off details. • Design and deploy BGP configuration that advertises the correct prefixes, implements basic route filtering, and provides clean fail-over paths. • Configure authoritative DNS zones and records so public-facing services resolve correctly once the new network is live. • Harden the firewall with well-structured policies that balance security and performance. • Establish and test a site-to-site (or remote-user) VPN so staff can connect securely from outside the office. • Provide a brief but clear document that records all commands, diagrams key paths, and lists rollback steps. Key points • Hardware is a mix of MikroTik routers a ZTE OLT and not decided on a firewall; if you’re fluent in comparable platforms let me know, as I can be flexible. • Zero downtime is ideal, so change-planning and off-hours cutover are appreciated. • The sooner this is completed, the better, though I’m realistic about proper testing time.
