Beginner Python Excel Analyzer

I have an .xlsx export from file and I want a very clear, beginner-friendly Python script that turns it into useful numbers. When I run the script in the terminal it should:

• read the Excel file I supply
• calculate and print data

That is all—no GUI, no dashboards, just clean figures in the console so I can trace the logic and learn. Please keep the code as simple as possible (think pandas, openpyxl or similar, with plenty of comments) so I can follow every step and adapt it later on my own files.

I need this today. It is a very simple task, so please keep it straightforward and not complicated.

I don't have a big budget for this, so I would appreciate it if you could keep the price as low as possible.
