I’m finishing up an easy-to-use development environment inspired by the old Visual Basic approach. It lets you drag, drop and write “Basic-style” pseudocode that the system then converts—through built-in AI—to PHP, Python, Java and MySQL. Blocks, templates and guided prompts do most of the heavy lifting; the whole point is to help someone with minimal coding experience feel productive fast.
To be sure the workflow really is intuitive, I need a true beginner—ideally a recent graduate, curious hobbyist or anyone who wants to break into programming, not a seasoned pro. You will install the Windows build of the IDE, walk through the onboarding tutorial, create a small sample app of your choice (a simple CRUD form, mini-game, calculator—whatever sparks your interest) and tell me where things feel smooth and where you hit friction. I’m interested in:
• your first impressions of the interface
• moments you felt stuck or confused
• any wording, icons or menu placements that seemed unclear
• whether the AI-generated code made sense when you peeked under the hood
Deliverables
1. A screen-recording (with voice or text notes) of your first two hours exploring the tool.
2. A short written summary highlighting the top five usability issues you noticed.
3. Your project file so I can replay exactly what you built.
Acceptance criteria: the video shows the full start-to-finish session on Windows, and the written feedback is specific enough that I can reproduce each issue.
If this sounds fun and you truly consider yourself a beginner, I’d love to hear from you.
