AWS EC2 Deployment With Ansible

The application is fully coded and tested; it simply needs to be taken live on AWS. I’ve decided to run it on EC2 and want the entire rollout handled through a clean DevOps workflow built around Ansible.

You will start from my Git repository, spin up the necessary EC2 instance(s), write or adapt Ansible playbooks to configure the environment, and create a repeatable deployment pipeline so future releases move from commit to production with one command.

Key points to keep in mind
• Target platform: AWS EC2
• Configuration management: Ansible (no Puppet or Chef)
• Workload type: standard web application

Deliverables
– Well-commented Ansible playbooks (provisioning, app setup, rollback)
– Automated deployment script or CI/CD job definition (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
– README outlining prerequisites, variables, and step-by-step usage
– Deployed EC2 instance running the app, publicly reachable for verification

Acceptance criteria: a single command (or CI job) reliably provisions a fresh EC2 instance, configures it, deploys the app, and serves the site without manual intervention.
