Automation Developer Needed (On-site, New Delhi) – GeM Portal Data Extraction into Google Sheets

We need a developer to build and maintain an end-to-end pipeline that continuously pulls live tender information from the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal and posts it directly into a Google Sheet as changes occur. This role requires working from our office in Sainik Farm, New Delhi — this is not a remote position.

The flow must run unattended, handling connection, extraction, and write-back without manual triggers. The Google Sheet will act as the single source of truth, so every new tender or status change should appear or update in real time, organized as a structured table with clear column headers.

Data points to capture:

Tender ID and Title
Tender Details and Specifications
Closing Date and Status

Technical notes:

If GeM exposes an API, connect directly; otherwise implement a reliable, non-intrusive scraper (Python + Selenium/Playwright, headless Chrome, etc.) with rate-limit awareness
Authorised log-in, cookies, and session renewals need to be managed automatically
Push updates via Google Apps Script, Sheets API, or Google Cloud Functions
Include basic logging, error handling, and an alert (email/Slack) if the job fails or the portal structure changes

Deliverables:

Clean, well-commented source code and deployment scripts
A live Google Sheet populated in real time with the data fields above
README covering setup, credentials, and how to modify polling frequency
Quick video or live demo proving new/edited tenders appear in the Sheet within the agreed interval

Acceptance criteria:

New tenders/status changes reach the Sheet in under one minute from detection
All specified fields captured accurately under correct headers
Solution runs 24 hours without manual intervention, no unhandled errors

Requirement: Candidate must be based in or willing to relocate to New Delhi and work on-site at our office during agreed hours. Please mention your availability to work in-person when bidding.
