I have a set of deep-sump reinforcement drawings prepared in AutoCAD 2020. Your task is to translate every 2D rebar detail into a true-to-drawing 3D model that lets me obtain an instant, reliable tonnage with a single command.

Scope
• Model every bar exactly as shown in the 2D DWGs—no self-added steel—yet capture all bends, hooks and overlaps so the final quantity reflects 100 % of what is really there.
• Place each bar diameter on its own layer.
• Place all lap lengths and chair bars on separate, clearly labelled layers; they must be excluded from the payable tonnage.
• Work to millimetre accuracy; the current concrete volume is 9 ,560 m³ and our existing manual take-off shows 1,070 t (≈112 kg/m³). With fully resolved modelling I expect the figure to exceed 1,200 t, still excluding laps and chairs.
• Deliver a live weight schedule exported to Excel showing:
– Bar ID / location
– Diameter
– Length
– Unit weight
– Total weight
– Layer reference

Standards & Conventions
• AutoCAD 2020 native format.
• Use a clear, industry-standard layer naming style (Dia16, Dia20, Lap_Dia20, Chair_Dia12, etc.).
• All calculations must rely on AutoCAD’s mass properties or FIELD commands so I can re-audit the file at any time.

Acceptance
I will run my own weight check by isolating layers and comparing to the Excel sheet; any variance above 0.5 % must be resolved before final sign-off.

Send back:
1. The .dwg with fully modelled bars and clean layer tree.
2. The Excel summary described above.

If you have handled heavy-reinforced concrete structures before and can hit these accuracy targets, let’s get started.
