Android Task & File Manager

I need a straightforward utility app for Android phones that blends two core features: a clean task-management area and a practical file manager. The task side should let users add, edit, prioritise, and tick off tasks with local persistence—Room or a comparable lightweight database is fine. The file manager must browse internal storage and SD card, offering copy, move, delete, rename and basic search, all wrapped in a Material-styled UI so the two tools feel like a single, cohesive workspace.
Everything runs fully offline; no server components are planned for this first release. I prefer Kotlin, but I’m open to well-structured Java if you can justify it. Smooth navigation, sensible permission handling (Scoped Storage for Android 11+), and clear architecture (MVVM or similar) will be part of the review criteria.
Deliverables:
• Signed APK + source code in a Git repo
• Brief setup/compile guide
• One short Loom or screen-recorded demo walking through both modules
I’ll test on multiple Android phone models to confirm stability and performance before signing off.
