I need an Android application that silently blocks access to Facebook and Instagram on the device while it runs in the background. Alongside the blocking feature, the app must capture complete call information (number, direction, duration, timestamp), all SMS details, and automatically record every call.
Because I also want visibility into overall phone use, the app should maintain a detailed usage log for every other installed application—launch time, total foreground minutes, and, if available, screen-on duration—then bundle these logs with the call/SMS data.
All call recordings have to be pushed to a cloud server I can configure (Firebase, S3, or a simple REST endpoint—whichever you prefer, as long as I can later swap credentials). Logs can follow the same route or be stored locally and synced on Wi-Fi; I’m open to your suggestion if it keeps data traffic low.
Key deliverables
• Android Studio project (Java or Kotlin) with full source code
• APK ready for sideloading on Android 10–13 devices
• Cloud upload module for audio files and logs, including retry logic
• Basic in-app admin screen secured by PIN to enable/disable blocking and view sync status
Acceptance criteria
1. Facebook and Instagram cannot open, whether through their native apps or direct web URLs.
2. Incoming, outgoing, and missed calls appear in the exported log within 30 seconds of ending.
3. Call recordings are playable from the cloud dashboard/folder and match the call log metadata.
4. App usage report correctly lists at least the last 24 hours of foreground activity.
5. Battery impact stays below 5 % drain in a 6-hour idle test.
Feel free to recommend libraries or permissions management tricks that keep the install experience smooth while still passing Google Play Protect.
