I need an Android-only retail e-commerce app built from the ground up.
The first release must let shoppers browse a clean, well-structured product catalog and quickly locate items through an in-app search. Fast, accurate search is a priority because I expect hundreds of SKUs from day one.

Core scope
• Native Android build (Android Studio, Kotlin or Java—whichever you work best with).
• Product catalog screens with category navigation, detail pages, images, price and stock status.
• Robust product search: keyword, category filter and sorting. It should remain snappy even on a modest data connection.
• Admin-side hooks or simple API endpoints so I can upload, edit and remove items without touching code.

While the initial milestone stops at catalog + search, I do plan to add a shopping cart, payment gateway and customer-facing extras (reviews, recommendations) later, so structuring the codebase for easy expansion will be appreciated.

Deliverables
1. APK and signed release build.
2. Full source code with clear comments.
3. Basic setup guide explaining environment, libraries and how to load data into the catalog.
4. Short video walkthrough confirming catalog and search work on a real device.

Acceptance will be based on smooth navigation, search responsiveness and clean, maintainable code. Let me know your timeline and the stack you prefer, and feel free to suggest lightweight backend or cloud options if they speed things up.
