Android Media Player

1. Project Overview
Develop an Android application that displays advertising images and videos received from a backend platform. The application will run on Android tablets or Android media devices and communicate with a REST API provided by the backend team.
2. Scope
The application should:
• Login using Username, Password and Screen Number.
• Store an authentication token securely.
• Display images and videos in full-screen landscape mode.
• Periodically check for content updates.
• Download or cache media as appropriate.
• Continue playback while updates are prepared.
• Send heartbeat information.
• Report playback events.
• Report operational events.
• Support offline operation by storing pending events.
• Upload pending events when connectivity returns.
• Recover automatically after restart.
• Support optional Like/Dislike interaction.

Authentication
- Login and automatic authentication after first login.

Media Player
- Full-screen playback.

Synchronization
- Periodically check backend for updates.
- Retrieve new media without interrupting playback.

Monitoring

- Screen status (if supported).

Offline
- Queue events locally.
