I need a web application that replicates (and ultimately improves on) the outputs of www.mapcheck.com.au for rural New South Wales properties. A visitor will be able to enter a Lot/DP, drop a pin, or upload a shapefile; the site then pulls fresh data from the same free government sources MapCheck relies on, analyses it, and produces a clear, commercial-grade report.
Core tasks
• Build a fast, mobile-friendly interface where users can locate or upload a parcel and instantly view boundaries, overlays and key constraints.
• Connect to the relevant open APIs and data downloads provided by NSW Land Registry Services, Geoscience Australia, Bureau of Meteorology and any other publicly available NSW spatial layers that MapCheck currently surfaces (zoning, bush-fire, flood, biodiversity, slope, soil, road access, etc.).
• Create an AI-driven report engine. Automated report generation is non-negotiable: I want the system to compile the raw layers, run basic spatial analyses, then draft a plain-English summary (PDF and HTML) with maps, tables and an executive overview. If you can see opportunities for additional AI such as predictive land-use commentary, flag them—future-proofing matters.
• Match or exceed MapCheck’s accuracy, speed and depth while keeping all datasets fully referenced in the output so users can verify sources.
• Provide an admin dashboard where I can update layer URLs, manage usage limits and brand the exported reports.
• Deploy to my AWS account (preferred) with CI/CD and robust documentation so a developer who follows you can maintain the codebase.
Acceptance criteria
1. A user can generate a complete rural property report in ≤60 seconds.
2. All map layers align correctly with official Lot/DP boundaries.
3. The PDF/HTML contains a human-readable AI summary plus raw data tables.
4. Source code, schema and deployment scripts are delivered, pass linting/tests and run on a fresh AWS instance without manual tweaks.
