I need a self-starter who can keep our back office running smoothly while helping me stay on top of suppliers and purchasing. Day to day you will:
• Tackle general administration such as updating trackers, filing digital paperwork and keeping shared folders tidy
• Research and shortlist new suppliers, then summarise your findings clearly for quick decisions
• Support the procurement cycle—raise or amend purchase orders, follow up on deliveries, chase paperwork and record everything accurately
Most of your work will live in spreadsheets, so solid skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets are essential. You should also feel comfortable editing Word documents and marking up PDFs when needed. If you have experience with other ERP platforms, that’s a bonus, but not a requirement.
I value accuracy, clear communication and proactive problem-solving. This is an ongoing role and the workload is likely to grow, so I’m looking for someone who enjoys building long-term working relationships and takes ownership of their tasks. If that sounds like you, let’s talk.
Your reasponsibility may include:
Helping with general day-to-day administration
Keeping files, records and spreadsheets organised and up to date
Entering and checking information accurately
Researching suppliers, products and pricing
Requesting and comparing supplier quotations
Preparing simple procurement and comparison reports
Following up on orders, deliveries and outstanding items
Maintaining supplier information and records
Helping prepare purchase orders and other documents
Carrying out online research when required
Preparing or formatting business documents and spreadsheets
Following up on tasks and keeping us informed of progress
Helping improve simple administrative and procurement processes
The work will vary, so being comfortable with different types of tasks is important.
