Accurate Book Data Typing

I have several printed books that must be re-typed word-for-word into an editable digital format. The pages include body text, headings, footnotes, and the occasional table, so accuracy and consistent formatting are essential.

Although the core of the job centres on books, I will also supply a small batch of magazines that contain images only; those pages simply need a placeholder note such as “[Image page]” inserted at the correct spot in the text sequence—no image editing is required.

Please work in either Microsoft Word or Google Docs, keeping original page breaks and styling wherever practical.

Deliverables
• One clean, spell-checked document per book, named to match the source title
• A running log noting any illegible characters or uncertainties (page and line reference)
• A separate document listing the placeholder tags for the image-only magazine pages

Acceptance criteria
• Minimum 99 % transcription accuracy (I will run random sampling)
• All source pages accounted for, in order
• Final files delivered in .docx and .pdf formats
