Academic Non-Fiction Typesetting

I have a 530-page academic manuscript that has a professional interior layout. However, after publishing on KDP, I noticed some problems with the pictures and had to alter them. This caused the whole typesetting and layout to alter. The content is non-fiction and must follow APA guidelines throughout—headings, tables, figures, block quotes, reference list, everything.

I want the finished layout supplied as an editable source file (InDesign, Word, or another industry-standard format you prefer) so I can make any last-minute changes myself before going to press again. I want to republish eBook and print book with KDP and hardcover with IngramSpark.

Because of the length, I’m looking for someone already comfortable handling large documents: setting consistent styles, building an automatic table of contents, keeping cross-references live, and ensuring there are no orphaned headings or awkward page breaks. If you have experience with long-form academic work, please let me know how you would approach pagination, stylesheets, and any automation you use to keep the layout clean.
