ELV Motors is a U.S.-based e-commerce business in Silicon Valley, California, with years of experience and a strong track record in online sales. We are expanding into original 3D-printed products for the U.S. market and seek a talented designer for long-term collaboration.
Responsibilities
Research market opportunities and propose original product ideas.
Design functional consumer products using 3D CAD software.
Optimize models for FDM 3D printing, including structure, materials, tolerances, and printability.
Develop and refine prototypes based on printing results.
Deliver editable CAD files, STL/3MF files, and basic printing instructions.
Provide remote design and printing support to our U.S. team when needed.
Requirements
Experience in product design, CAD modeling, and functional product development.
Proficiency in Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, Blender, or similar software.
Practical knowledge of FDM printing and materials such as PLA and PETG.
Ability to take products from concept to prototype.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Consumer product or e-commerce experience is a plus.
Initial Product Ideas
Desk organizers, modular storage, personalized gifts, tool organizers, hobby accessories, and other practical consumer products.
We welcome designers who can develop original ideas and identify promising product opportunities, not just model existing products.
Deliverables
Depending on the project, deliverables may include concept sketches, editable CAD files, STL/3MF files, printing recommendations, and design revisions.
Scope, revisions, payment milestones, and commercial rights will be agreed upon before work begins. Any third-party models or assets must be disclosed.
