I have gathered records for fourteen generations of my family and now need them transformed into a single, high-resolution chart that relatives can print and frame. The layout must follow the classic structure—easy to trace, generation by generation—yet keep a clean, minimalist look with soft pastel tones so the information, not decoration, takes center stage.
What needs to appear for every person:
• Full name
• Date of birth
• Birth location
• Photograph whenever I supply one
All notes and certificates are in Portuguese, so fluency is essential to capture accents, spellings, and place names accurately. Precision matters: any small typo or misplaced branch will be noticed when this goes on a living-room wall.
Deliverables
1. Print-ready PDF and TIFF at A0 size (minimum 300 dpi).
2. An editable source file in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or Affinity Designer so future updates are possible.
3. A low-res proof for quick sharing before final sign-off.
Acceptance criteria
• Every individual correctly positioned through fourteen generations.
• Colours stay within the agreed pastel palette.
• Fonts remain legible at full size and when scaled down to A3.
• Final files open without errors and are press-ready.
If you have prior examples of large pedigree charts or genealogical graphics, feel free to send a link when you reply—seeing how you balance clarity with aesthetic restraint will help me choose quickly.
