My nonfiction manuscript runs about 1,350 pages spread across six Google Docs. I need the entire work merged, cleaned and delivered as a single EPUB that uploads smoothly to Draft2Digital.
Key requirements
• I already use Sigil and want that to be the primary tool for the cleanup phase—please strip out Google’s extra HTML, remove redundant span tags, and keep the markup lean so the final file stays light and searchable.
• The draft contains many images. I don’t need fancy positioning; simply embed every image where it currently appears and be sure they display crisply on standard e-readers without bloating file size.
• All existing font styles and sizes must remain intact. Headings, sub-headings, callouts and body text should look exactly as they do now—no substitution with default EPUB fonts.
• The finished EPUB must validate (EpubCheck) and pass Draft2Digital’s automated intake without warnings. A working internal table of contents and functional hyperlinks are part of the deliverable.
