Title: Small 12V Embedded PCB Design – Grain Bin Sensor System
Description:
I have a working prototype of a 12V grain bin full-level alert system built on dev boards and need a freelancer to design a clean, compact PCB to replace my current setup. The system monitors an MPU6050 accelerometer sensor that hangs inside a grain bin and triggers a 12V siren and strobe alarm when the bin is full.
The system uses an ESP32 30-pin dev board as the microcontroller. I want the ESP32 mounted on female machined pin headers so it can be removed and reflashed independently. The PCB should be designed as small as reasonably possible around this constraint.
The PCB accepts 12V input from a battery and routes it through a countdown timer relay module that controls system power. The timer relay module is an external component I will supply and mount separately inside the enclosure. The PCB only needs to provide the appropriate JST-XH connector to interface with it and route 12V in and switched 12V out between the two connectors on the board. The PCB must regulate 12V down to the voltages required by the ESP32 and sensor onboard.
The PCB manages the following I/O via JST-XH connectors. All external components are supplied by me and connect to the PCB via these connectors only:
12V battery input (2 pin)
Timer relay module (2 pin)
4 wire sensor cable (4 pin) — PCB provides 3.3V power and I2C interface to MPU6050 accelerometer
Green panel mount LED (2 pin) — driven by ESP32 for system status indication
12V relay switched output to siren and strobe (2 pin) — relay is onboard, switches 12V to external alarm
Momentary silence button (2 pin) — allows operator to manually silence an active alarm
Deliverables:
Gerber files zipped and ready to upload to JLCPCB
BOM with LCSC part numbers for every component
CPL file in JLCPCB format
