Intetics Inc., a global technology company providing custom software application development, distributed professional teams, software product quality assessment, and “all-things-digital” solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Go Application Architect to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis.
What You will do:
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into a clear, well-structured technical architecture;
Design distributed and microservice-based systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and maintainable;
Make and justify architectural trade-offs (performance vs. complexity, consistency vs. availability, build vs. buy);
Design robust API contracts (REST/gRPC) with versioning and backward compatibility in mind;
Architect data storage strategies across relational and non-relational databases, including schema design and query optimization;
Design event-driven and asynchronous flows using message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS);
Anticipate scalability and reliability risks before they become production incidents, and design systems that account for load, failure modes, and observability from the start;
Produce clear architecture documentation (ADRs, technical specs, diagrams) that both engineers and business stakeholders can follow;
Guide and mentor development teams on best practices, code quality, and Go idioms without formally managing them;
Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs effectively to Product Owners, Solution Architects, and other non-technical stakeholders;
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks and assess their fit for the team's technical roadmap;
Balance hands-on coding with architectural oversight — staying technically credible while enabling other engineers to execute.
Requirements
7+ years of overall software development experience;
4-5+ years of hands-on, production-level experience with Go, including deep understanding of goroutines, channels, context, memory model, and concurrency patterns;
Higher education in Computer Science (software development, etc.);
Extensive experience working with AI and the process of implementing/configuring it within a team;
Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated/high-compliance domains;
Proven experience designing distributed, microservice-based, and/or high-load systems;
Strong expertise in API design (REST and/or gRPC), including versioning and backward compatibility;
Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) — schema design, query optimization, transactions;
Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS) and event-driven architecture;
Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes);
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices;
Golang (design of scalable, distributed backend systems);
Concurrency patterns in Go (goroutines, channels, sync primitives);
System design for high performance and maintainability;
CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.);
Understanding of system design principles: scalability, fault tolerance, security, observability (metrics, logging, tracing);
Strong communication skills — ability to explain architectural decisions to both technical teams and business stakeholders;
Experience conducting architecture reviews and writing design documentation (ADRs, technical specs);
- Readiness to work from 9 till 18 CEST;
Readiness to practical task (live coding in Go) during the interview with the client.
Would be a plus:
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, ClickHouse) or caching layers (Redis);
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-native architecture patterns;
Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) or Event-Driven Architecture;
Prior experience in a formal Architect, Staff Engineer, or Principal Engineer role;
Familiarity with additional languages (Java, Python, C++) for cross-team collaboration;
Experience integrating AI/LLM components into production systems;
Contributions to open-source Go projects or internal frameworks/libraries;
Experience with SRE practices (SLI/SLO, error budgets, incident response);
Relevant certifications (AWS/GCP/Azure architecture certifications).
