Job Description: Entry Level Electrical Engineer We seek an entry-level electrical engineer to join our new electrical team at Petersen Engineering. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a sought after and progressive engineering design firm’s newly created department and learn and grow in a supportive and fast-paced environment. The individual will work on a project team producing engineering documents for a variety of building project types with a licensed electrical engineer and designers. They will be responsible for designing power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage and emergency power supply building systems in accordance to all applicable codes. Position Qualifications BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering) or BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology) degree 0-3 years experience Familiar with MEP AutoCAD; Word; and Excel. REVIT experience is a plus Registered Engineer in Training on a Professional Engineering (PE) license track is a plus Developed, professional written and verbal communication skills. Job Responsibilities: Perform AutoCAD or Revit drafting for a variety of building types and sizes Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer Coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering / internal and external) Strong analytical ability and good verbal and written communication skills
