Project overview

The Entry Level Desktop Support Specialist will provide support to end-users on a variety of IT issues, in an effective and timely manner. The successful candidate must be able to communicate and interact with both technical and non-technical users Serve as the first point of contact for employee computer-related problems Perform installations, adds, moves, and changes for PCs, monitors, printers and related peripherals Setup, install, patch and deploy Window-based computers Help troubleshoot: computers, VoIP telephone systems, and wireless network Password resets/account lockout Ensure backups are properly performed as required Perform archive restores Work with our IT team to implement new software and hardware technologies Track and maintain equipment and devices inventory Off-hours support and maintenance responsibilities Other duties may be assigned accordingly depending on issues changing throughout the day About You: Desire to learn and grow as a professional, and as a technologist. There will be opportunities to learn front-end development, if you desire to expand your knowledge and increase your pay Enjoys help desk technician or other IT related responsibilities Understand basic networking concepts, and Microsoft Office software Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues Proficiency in English Excellent communication skills Customer-oriented and a team player BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field, preferred
