Project overview
We are looking for writers to create a variety of assessments for online learning courses for high school students. Current course availability is with technology courses (in areas like programming, web development, game design, cybersecurity, networking, etc.) Ideal candidates will be experienced assessment writers and educators. Successful writers should be able to produce engaging and relevant assessments with a variety of Depth of Knowledge/complexity levels. We like to develop rewarding long term partnerships with our writers and look for writers who can submit high quality work and adhere to mutually agreed upon schedules. You will be asked to answer the following questions when submitting a proposal: 1. What experience do you have writing high school assessments (or other educational materials)? 2. How does your portfolio demonstrate you are qualified for this job? Please include reference to both educational writing, assessment creation, and technical knowledge. If your proposal is successful you will be invited to produce one (1) unit of assessments for a course (the “audition”). This will cover: Target Audience - high school students Document Length: 15 multiple choice, 2 critical thinking questions, 2 discussion questions, and 1 activity (all with answers provided and a rubric for the activity) Desired File Format - Any word processing format is acceptable Project Start Date - When awarded Project Completion Date -7 days from start date Upon successful completion of the project, we may offer a complete course (8 units) to the successful candidate. We expect to be able to revise the content 1-2 times (if needed), working in concert with our in-house curriculum team. Each full/ complete course requires a total of approximately: 400 multiple choice questions; 120 true/false questions; 16 discussion questions; 40 critical thinking questions; 8-16 activities. You may be asked to complete some or all of these assessments for a full course if we deem the work is a good fit after you have completed the audition project.
