Project overview
Hi there! We're a growing company that sells cybersecurity services to small businesses in the US. We're looking for someone to work for us part-time who can help with a number of tasks: Scheduling appointments Reconciling counts between different systems Logging in to web-based consoles to make small changes for our clients in the products that we sell Helping clients with tech support questions (which usually involves just opening tickets with our vendors and communicating back and forth) Writing and updating procedures The ideal person will be able to work for us 1-2 hours a day, Monday through Friday. We may be able to offer more hours in the future. The tasks that we have usually aren't urgent, so we don't care what time of day you work or when you are online, so long as you're a good communicator. Most communication (both with us and with our clients) will be via email and chat, so looking for someone with excellent written US English skills. Also, in the title, we say we're looking for someone who is "good with computers." We don't need a software engineer or a systems administrator. We really just need someone who is comfortable working with web-based consoles, Google's G Suite, searching for answers on Google, etc. If you're interested in applying for this job, please send an email that answers the following questions: Do you have any questions about the job description? Please tell me a bit about your past experience with email-based support and scheduling. Please provide a list of computer programs and web-based services that you're comfortable using. What are you hoping to learn in your next role? What skills are you interested in building? Also, there are two things you should know before applying: As part of our hiring process, we like to ask 2-3 promising candidates to perform a short test. We're happy to pay you for your time, and these typically take 1-2 hours. Since we're a cybersecurity firm, we may need to perform a criminal background check for our records. We will cover the costs for this, and we will never ask you directly for private information. Thanks, and I look forward to meeting you!
