Project overview
3G Proxy ( 3gproxy.com ) is a software company based in Germany and Montenegro, that is specialized in online testing services around the world. We are looking worldwide for partners, who would host our hardware, which enables us to use our testing tools in their country. Our future hosting partner needs to host a 19 inch network rack (370 × 570 x 450mm) which is built for testing purposes (as seen in the picture). It can be held in your flat, garage, bedroom, office or any other place which suits you and fulfills our criteria. Criteria for location which need to be fulfilled by the partner:
- dry, closed, vented space
- Stable power supply (220V/16A)
- Stable landline internet connection available (min. internet speed: 8 Mbit Upload) The internet connection must be landline internet connection as user needs to connect the rack to the internet router via UTP cable. This job contains the following tasks:
1. Installation of the rack.
We will organize the shipping of the device to you. Once the device arrived at your location, you need to connect it to the electricity and to the internet. 2. Buying of sim cards from different operators:
User needs to buy prepaid mobile sim cards for us which are enabled for 3G browsing, calls and
SMS. We cover all costs of these sim cards. 3. Hosting of the rack.
Once the rack is installed, you just need to keep the server turned ON 24/7 and keep it connected to the internet router (it needs only little electricity). Occasionally we might require help from you (if we experience hardware related problems with the device and if we cannot solve it remotely). Examples could be: restarting the device, reconnecting some cables, replacing SD cards, etc… The user needs to react to our mails/calls/requests within 24 hours. For this easy job we offer 120 $/monthly.
