Description eDynamic Learning is searching for production assistants to support the production and creation of online courses to middle and high school students. The company produces online courses in a variety of non-core curriculum subjects with a current focus on career-type electives in business, health science, information technology, and sciences. Ideal Candidate Qualifications • Solid research skills and keen to learn new subjects and topics. • Creativity with locating images which embellish learning experience (i.e., determining images that add value and help students learn difficult concepts). • Sensitive and attuned to needs of diverse audience, including audience with different abilities. • Strong time management skills with ability to juggle projects and to meet deadlines. • Attention to detail. • Exceptional oral and written communication skills. • Professional approach and attitude with team of freelance writers and editors plus internal employees, and outside vendors • Previous production assistant or research experience a plus. • Preference given to those with or pursuing an Undergraduate degree. Responsibilities • Locate and source images to enhance learning. • Liaise with art vendor for illustrations and line art. • Write alt text and captions to meet accessibility guidelines. • Work with writers to manage video clip selections. • Apply style sheet, fact-check, verify vocabulary terms. Successful candidates may be invited to audition by editing one (1) unit of a course (the audition), which would consist of: Target Audience: High school students Document Length: * 1 unit of lessons / * 12 images with captions and alt tags Desired File Format: Microsoft Word Project Start Date: When awarded Project Completion Date: 5 days from start date Upon successful completion of the project, we may offer a complete course (8 units) to the successful candidate. We look for production assistants who produce high quality work, can collaborate with writers, subject matter experts and team members, meet deadlines, can work remotely and who are open to using technology (Smartsheet, Slack, Dropbox).
