Zippity Zum Harmony Arrangement

My son and three of his friends are eager to perform “Zippity Zum” by The Chords, and they are confident singers who enjoy tackling vibrant, well-crafted harmonies. I need a fresh four-part arrangement that blends classic doo-wop roots with playful theatrical touches—think tight backing “bop-sha-bop” moments peppered with the occasional comic break or vocal flourish that will keep both the boys and the audience grinning.

The focus is purely on vocals, no instrumental backing, so the energy must live inside the lines you write. Keep the ranges comfortable for changing voices, but feel free to weave in interesting chord substitutions, call-and-response bits, and a short, show-stopping tag.

To make rehearsals smooth, please include:

• A clean PDF score with lyrics aligned beneath each part.
• Four practice tracks (one per part, lead voice up-front, others lightly panned underneath) plus a balanced full mix for reference.

WAV or high-quality MP3 is fine, and a simple count-in at the top of each track will help them stay together.

I’m happy to answer any timing or range questions quickly so you can dive straight into arranging and recording. Let’s give these boys an arrangement that feels lively, modern, and above all, fun to sing.
