YouTube Editor & B-Roll Specialist — Professional Finishing for an Ongoing Christian Series
We are producing a continuing Christian teaching and biblical prophecy series, with more than 30 videos planned. We need an excellent editor who can deliver polished multicamera editing AND accurate, relevant B-roll, with dependable turnaround. We are seeking an additional editor for ongoing work after a successful paid assessment.
OUR WORKFLOW
I prepare the wording, message and sequence in Descript. You receive matching 4K front-camera and side-camera MP4 exports with identical start points, cuts and timing. The spoken edit, audio preparation and lip sync are already done. Align both files, use one clean audio track and preserve the approved words, meaning and sequence. Your job is to make the finished video look and sound professional.
YOUR ROLE
- Intelligent camera changes, natural push-ins, smooth joins and transitions, a strong intro and a consistent visual finish.
- Accurate captions and Scripture graphics following our supplied editing guide, typography, charcoal/ivory/muted-gold palette and the Bible translation specified for each episode.
- Finished B-roll and explanatory graphics that are specific to the narration: essential visuals to cover unavoidable hard cuts or off-camera glances; recommended visuals to explain difficult ideas, timelines, maps or sequences; sparing decorative visuals only where they improve the video.
- Consistent colour and audio, precise lip sync throughout, and no abrupt sound changes or accidentally clipped words.
QUALITY IS NON-NEGOTIABLE
We do not want generic stock filler, irrelevant scenes, visibly artificial AI imagery, gibberish labels, invented facts or inaccurate diagrams. Use properly licensed assets and check visual accuracy against the narration and supplied references. Personally watch AND listen to the complete exported video before delivery. Check every cut, word, spelling, Scripture reference, audio transition and visual. I should be reviewing creative choices, not finding basic mistakes that the editor should have caught.
Provide a manageable 1080p review export with working audio, then the approved 4K final, together with editable project files and asset/licensing information as agreed. We aim to keep several episodes moving through editing and review at once. Quality comes first, but reliable communication and realistic delivery commitments are essential.
INITIAL PAID ASSESSMENT
The initial budget is for an approximately four-minute combined editing/B-roll trial at A$50 AUD, with scope and materials agreed before any award. Do not shorten the trial. Ongoing episode work and rates will be agreed separately after we assess quality; the planned series is an opportunity, not a guarantee of orders.

1. Two or three relevant videos you personally edited, with timestamps showing your best camera work, B-roll and explanatory graphics, and your exact role in each.
2. Your editing software and experience with matching, pre-edited camera exports.
3. Your proposed AUD rate per finished minute for ongoing professional editing and B-roll, stating revisions, licensed asset costs and any exclusions.
4. Your earliest start, realistic first-edit and revision turnaround, sustainable weekly capacity and ability to prioritise a continuing series.
5. Who will actually do the editing and final quality check.
