I’m putting together a recording project in Detroit that is slated for a major release and I’m looking for a female vocalist, age 28 or under, who can deliver a clear, confident soprano in a contemporary pop-R&B vein. The material is written and the studio is booked; what I need now is the right voice and stage presence to bring it to life.
Here’s what the role involves:
• Studio sessions: You’ll track leads and select harmonies at a professional facility in Detroit.
• Live work: After recording wraps, we’ll move into rehearsals and a series of live dates to support the release, from small promo spots to full performances.
Stylistically, think modern chart-friendly R&B—polished runs, tight phrasing, and the emotional nuance that resonates with today’s audience. I’m open on background and influences as long as you can own that sound.
Because we’ll be shooting promo material alongside the audio, being in good shape is important; the visual element matters for this roll-out. Race is not a factor.
If you’re local (or can reliably base yourself in Detroit for the project timeline), comfortable in the booth, and excited about stepping on stage, send me:
1. A recent a-capella or lightly produced demo that shows your upper register.
2. A short clip of you performing live—phone video is fine if the audio is clear.
3. A quick note on your schedule over the next three months.
Let’s create something memorable together.
