Yenching Academy Application Strategy Consultant

I am looking for an experienced graduate admissions consultant to provide comprehensive, end-to-end support for my application to the Yenching Academy at Peking University for the 2027 intake, with a focus on Economics and Management within the Master’s in China Studies programme.

The application deadline is November 30, 2026, and I am looking to begin immediately.

I am not looking for someone to simply review an existing CV or edit documents I have already prepared. I want someone who can take the lead in developing my entire application from scratch, including the overall strategy, profile positioning, academic direction and written materials.

I have an existing sample CV containing information about my education, professional experience, entrepreneurial activities, extracurricular involvement, achievements and other aspects of my background. However, I am completely open to rebuilding it from the ground up, changing its structure, content, professional positioning and overall narrative.

The scope of work includes:

1. CV Development

Create an entirely new, professionally structured CV specifically tailored to Yenching Academy. I come from a family business background and am willing to provide detailed information about the business, its operations, my responsibilities, projects and measurable contributions. I want you to assess my actual experience and determine the strongest and most credible way to present my professional roles, responsibilities, achievements and leadership experience.

2. Personal Statement / SOP

Develop the central narrative of my application and identify what makes my background distinctive. The statement should communicate my intellectual interests, academic motivations, interest in China, reasons for choosing Yenching Academy and future aspirations. I want something intellectually compelling, authentic and academically mature rather than a generic or CV-driven essay.

3. Research Interest Statement

This is a particularly important component. I want assistance identifying the most suitable research direction based on my background and interests, particularly within Economics and Management.

The work should include exploring potential research topics, developing a focused research question, conducting a proper academic literature review, identifying relevant scholarly discussions and research gaps, establishing a theoretical framework and developing an appropriate research methodology. The final statement must follow Yenching Academy’s official requirements and demonstrate genuine academic depth.

4. Overall Application Strategy

Conduct a comprehensive assessment of my academic, professional, entrepreneurial and extracurricular background. Develop a coherent positioning strategy so that every component of the application reinforces a clear and convincing narrative rather than presenting disconnected achievements.

5. Additional Essays and Documents

Assist with developing any additional essays, written materials and supporting documents required for the application.

6. Interview Preparation

Provide preparation and guidance if I am shortlisted, including potential questions, research-related discussions, programme-fit questions and mock interview practice.

What I will provide:

I am willing to share all relevant information and supporting documents, including my existing CV, academic records, detailed family business information, professional responsibilities, entrepreneurial projects, achievements, extracurricular activities, publications and personal motivations. I am also happy to participate in detailed discussions and answer extensive questions to help you understand my background.

Who I am looking for:

Ideally, someone with specific experience in Yenching Academy applications, preferably with previous successful applicants. Experience with highly competitive international scholarships and graduate programmes such as Schwarzman Scholars, Rhodes, Gates Cambridge and similar fellowships would also be valuable.

Strong academic research and writing capabilities are essential. I need someone who understands the difference between writing an impressive application and developing a genuinely strong academic profile.

I am looking for a consultant who can take ownership of the strategic development and drafting process, work closely with me, incorporate my feedback and guide the application through completion. All final materials will be reviewed and approved by me to ensure that they accurately reflect my background and experiences.
