Yearly Audit Statement Preparation

I need my books turned into a clean, audit-ready package. The priority is to prepare the full set of financial statements—income statement, balance sheet, and cash-flow statement—so the external auditor can move straight into testing. Alongside those statements, I also want the tax figures calculated and clearly reconciled; the work’s main purpose is to hand the auditor numbers they can accept without adjustment.

Source data (GL exports, bank feeds, payroll summaries, prior-year working papers) will be provided in Excel and PDF. Your job is to:

• draft the statements in the required format,
• build the tax adjustments and supporting schedules, and
• leave transparent links back to every underlying document.

I work in Xero but am comfortable with you using any tool—Excel, Google Sheets, or your own accounting software—so long as the final deliverables arrive in both PDF (for signing) and spreadsheet form (for review).

Acceptance criteria
1. Financial statements balance and cross-foot.
2. Tax reconciliations agree to the trial balance and prior filings.
3. All schedules are logically indexed and referenced to source documents.

If a question arises during the assignment, flag it early so we stay on the audit timeline.
