I have an active Washington State L & I (workers’ compensation) claim and, until recently, a spotless employment record. Shortly after a new Executive Director arrived, I was dismissed without notice. While still on medical leave, I received a contract offering only two months’ pay—despite having been off work for five—and demanding that I drop all existing claims. I believe the termination, the inaccurate recording of my hours and pay, and the pressure to waive my rights are all connected.
I need an employment-law professional who can look at the whole picture: the potential unlawful termination, the wage and hour discrepancies, and the legality of that severance agreement. Initial guidance on strategy, followed by drafting any necessary complaints or demand letters and, if warranted, negotiating or litigating on my behalf are the key services I’m after.
When you reply, please highlight past work on similar wrongful-termination or workers’-comp retaliation cases so I can quickly see your track record.
