We're looking for writers who can take sound research and a flat AI draft and turn them into something a smart person wants to read: clear, alive, and true to every fact.

THE TEST

You'll get the results of a research study on robotaxis, the author's notes, and a first draft an AI wrote from them. You write the "In brief": a standalone one-page summary of the white paper, 200 to 400 words. AI tools are allowed; online research is not. It pays $150, and it's due by 11:59 pm Eastern on Monday, October 19, so you have the weekend. We send it in the chat as soon as you're hired.

The test is for real, paid work. The study in it is invented for the test, and nothing you write for it is published anywhere.

WHAT COMES NEXT

The writers with the best tests are invited to a $500 project: a technical white paper written from finished research. After that, we expect recurring paid work of $500 and up for the writers we most enjoy working with. Everything, including payment, stays on Freelancer.com.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a US-based technology research firm. The work is ghostwritten: no byline, and the rights pass to the client.

HOW TO APPLY

Payment: $150 in one milestone, released when your piece arrives on time.

Please answer these four questions in your bid:

1. A link to one piece published under your own name, at least 300 words, anywhere: a newspaper, magazine, Substack or blog. Any topic. Add one line on what it is.
2. Do you accept ghostwriting with no byline anywhere and full transfer of IP to the client? (Yes or no.)
3. Are you free to take outside ghostwriting work, with no current contract or employer agreement that stops you? (Yes or no.)
4. Can you send your test by 11:59 pm Eastern on Monday, October 19? (Yes or no.)
