Project brief for freelancers and agencies
1. PROJECT OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced WordPress designer and developer to create a modern, professional, responsive and user-friendly website for 2AEU KGO, the alumni association of Université Peleforo Gon Coulibaly (formerly URES Korhogo), Côte d'Ivoire.
The association was legally constituted on 29 August 2026 and is governed by an elected Executive Board. Our members live in Korhogo, in Abidjan, across Côte d'Ivoire and abroad. The website will become the official home of the association.
Website language: FRENCH. All content is supplied by us in French, and the entire interface menus, forms, error messages, automated e-mails must be correctly labelled in French. The technical structure must allow an English version to be added later. You may communicate with us in English or French.
Purpose of the website
• Strengthen the visibility and credibility of the association.
• Connect former students of URES Korhogo across promotions and countries.
• Present the association's mission, activities and achievements.
• Promote professional, educational and networking opportunities.
• Encourage new members to join and facilitate the payment of membership fees online.
• Attract institutional, professional and financial partners.
• Give members access to useful information and official documents.

2. BRANDING AND VISUAL IDENTITY
The design must be original and professional, built around our existing identity. Do not deliver a raw out-of-the-box template.
Item Requirement
Primary colour Green #16643E
Secondary colour Orange #E0761B
Logo Provided by us (green and orange emblem with hornbill and book)
Photographs Supplied by us (general assembly, events, members)
Typography One consistent, highly readable type system across the whole site
Tone Institutional, warm and dignified — an association of graduates, not a start-up
Devices Mobile-first: the large majority of our members browse on smartphones
Performance Fast on 3G/4G connections; optimised images; caching enabled
Accessibility Readable font sizes, sufficient contrast, clear navigation
The final design must reflect the history, values, unity and ambitions of 2AEU KGO. You may propose complementary shades and a full palette based on our two official colours, for approval before full design begins.
Deliver design mockups (home page + two inner pages) for approval BEFORE development starts.
