I have an existing WordPress site that now needs to be moved in its entirety to a new WordPress installation on a different server. The goal is a seamless lift-and-shift: all pages, posts, media files, plugins, themes, user accounts and settings must arrive intact with no broken links, layout issues, or SEO losses.
You will handle the full process—pre-migration backup, database export/import, file transfer, wp-config adjustments, DNS or domain pointing, and post-migration testing. I expect minimal downtime and, ideally, none that visitors will notice.
Deliverables
• Complete copy of the site live on the new host and reachable at the correct domain
• Verified functionality of all plugins, theme features and contact forms
• Preserved permalink structure and existing on-page SEO
• Written summary of steps taken plus any credentials or settings I may need for future maintenance
Once everything passes inspection, I’ll switch traffic to the new server and close the project.
