Role Description The WordPress & Shopify Website Builder will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the company’s e-commerce websites to showcase and sell textile and ceremonial products. Day-to-day tasks include developing and customising WordPress and Shopify themes, managing product catalogs, optimising site navigation, and ensuring a seamless, mobile-responsive user experience. The role involves integrating payment gateways, configuring shipping and tax settings, and implementing SEO best practices to improve visibility and conversion. The Website Builder will collaborate with design, marketing, and operations teams to create compelling product pages, landing pages, and promotional content that reflect the brand’s aesthetics. This is a contract remote role, requiring consistent communication, timely delivery of updates, and proactive monitoring of site performance, uptime, and security.

Qualifications

Site Reliability Engineering skills to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing WordPress and Shopify sites.
Software Development skills for theme customisation, plugin integration, and front-end enhancements.
Networking skills to manage domain settings, DNS configurations, and connectivity between integrated services.
Database skills to handle product data, customer information, and efficient data querying and backups.
Linux skills to manage hosting environments, deploy updates, and troubleshoot server-side issues.
Hands-on experience with WordPress and Shopify, including theme customisation and app/plugin management.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
Understanding of e-commerce workflows, payment gateway integration, and SEO practices.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
Relevant degree or certification in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
