I want to build a WordPress-based news portal that can comfortably grow with a broad range of stories—from local happenings to global headlines—so the theme, layout, and category structure need to be flexible and easy for my editors to manage from day one.

Visitors must feel engaged the moment they land, so I need three interactive elements in place right away:
• Comment section for each article (native WordPress, Disqus, or a similarly reliable solution)
• Polls and surveys that I can embed within posts and sidebars
• Live updates that refresh headlines or tickers without forcing a page reload

The site should be mobile-responsive, fast to load, and SEO-friendly. Gutenberg blocks are fine, but a lightweight page builder such as Elementor is also acceptable if it keeps performance high. Please configure user roles so editors can publish quickly while contributors remain restricted to drafts, and set up a straightforward workflow for breaking-news alerts.

Deliver a fully installed WordPress site on my hosting, a custom child theme (or well-supported premium theme) styled to match a clean, modern newsroom look, and clear documentation on how to add new categories, schedule content, and run the interactive features.
