WordPress Gravity Forms Developer Needed – Dynamic Delivery Quote & Booking Form
+ The Ability To Connect All Submissions To ProgressionLive www.progressionlive.com
Project Overview
We are looking for an experienced WordPress / Gravity Forms developer to build a professional, dynamic delivery quote and booking form on our WordPress website.
The form should be similar in functionality and user experience to the quote system on:
https://www.coolprime.ca
Important: We are looking for a similar functionality and workflow, not a direct copy of their design or code.
The form must be built primarily using Gravity Forms, with custom JavaScript/PHP where necessary to achieve the required functionality.
Main Requirements
1. Pickup & Delivery Addresses
The form should allow the customer to enter:
* Pickup address
* Pickup apartment/unit number
* Delivery address
* Delivery apartment/unit number
Address autocomplete should be implemented using a mapping/address API such as Google Maps Places API.
The system should calculate:
* Distance between pickup and delivery
* Estimated travel time
The distance should be used as part of the pricing calculation.
2. Delivery Service Selection
Customers should be able to select different delivery services, for example:
* Urgent
* Express
* Same Day
* Standard
Each service should have its own pricing multiplier or pricing rules.
The available services and pricing must be easy for the website administrator to modify.
3. Vehicle Selection
The customer should select the required vehicle:
* Car
* Minivan
* Cargo Van
* Cargo 16’+
Vehicle selection should affect the final price according to predefined pricing rules.
4. Additional Options
The form should include optional services such as:
* Helper
* Heavy items
* Round trip / Return delivery
Additional charges should automatically be added to the quote when selected.
The pricing must update dynamically without requiring the customer to reload the page.
5. Package Weight
The customer should enter the package weight.
Example pricing logic:
* First X kg included
* Additional kg charged at a predefined rate
The exact pricing rules will be provided.
6. Dynamic Price Calculation
The form must calculate the price automatically based on the customer’s selections.
The calculation may include:
* Distance
* Service type
* Vehicle type
* Weight
* Additional services
* Round trip
* Discounts/promotional codes
* GST
* QST/PST where applicable
* Final total
Example:
Base delivery price
* Service multiplier
* Vehicle charge
* Additional options
* Weight charge
− Discount
* Taxes
= Final Total
The pricing formula must be configurable and documented.
7. Multi-Step User Experience
We want a clean multi-step experience similar to the reference website.
Example:
Step 1 – Delivery Details
* Pickup
* Delivery
* Date/time
* Service type
Step 2 – Vehicle
* Vehicle selection
Step 3 – Additional Options
* Helper
* Heavy items
* Round trip
Step 4 – Package
* Weight/details
Step 5 – Customer Information
* Name
* Phone
* Destination contact
* Notes
* Terms & Conditions
Step 6 – Review / Checkout
* Display complete quote
* Display final price
* Submit booking
The user should be able to go back and modify previous selections without losing their information.
8. Conditional Logic
Fields and steps should dynamically appear/disappear based on previous selections.
For example:
* Additional options only appear when applicable.
* Certain vehicle options may appear depending on the selected service.
* Weight-related charges should update automatically.
* Different pricing rules should apply depending on service/vehicle selections.
Gravity Forms’ conditional logic will be used wherever practical. (Gravity Forms Documentation)
9. Customer Information
The final step should collect:
* Full name
* Phone number
* Email
* Destination contact name
* Destination phone
* Notes
* Terms & Conditions acceptance
We may also require phone/SMS verification, depending on the selected implementation.
10. Admin / Backend
All submissions must be stored in Gravity Forms.
The WordPress administrator should be able to:
* View submissions
* View the complete quote information
* See the calculated price
* Export entries
* Receive email notifications
* Modify pricing variables without rebuilding the form where possible
Gravity Forms stores submitted entries in the WordPress installation and provides an Entries interface for managing submissions. (Gravity Forms Documentation)
11. Email Notifications
After submission:
Customer:
* Receive confirmation email
* Receive quote/booking details
* Receive total price
Admin:
* Receive complete submission
* Receive all selected options
* Receive calculated pricing
* Receive customer and delivery information
Conditional notifications/routing may be required. Gravity Forms supports conditional notifications and confirmations. (Gravity Forms Documentation)
Technical Requirements
The freelancer should have strong experience with:
* WordPress
* Gravity Forms
* Gravity Forms calculations
* Gravity Forms conditional logic
* JavaScript / jQuery
* PHP
* HTML/CSS
* REST APIs
* Google Maps / Places API or equivalent
* Distance calculation APIs
* Dynamic pricing
* Multi-step forms
* Responsive design
Custom JavaScript/PHP is acceptable and expected where Gravity Forms alone cannot provide the required functionality.
Important
We do not want a basic Gravity Forms setup where the freelancer simply adds fields.
The project requires a fully functional dynamic quote calculator and booking workflow.
The final form should work properly on:
* Desktop
* Tablet
* Mobile
Performance and user experience are important.
Deliverables
The freelancer must provide:
1. Fully configured Gravity Form
2. Custom JavaScript/PHP required for the functionality
3. Address autocomplete integration
4. Distance calculation
5. Dynamic pricing
6. Conditional logic
7. Multi-step workflow
8. Responsive front-end design
9. Email notifications
10. Admin configuration/documentation
11. Testing of all pricing scenarios
12. Bug fixes after delivery
13. All custom code/configuration required to operate the form
