I’m moving my small ebook business, RealGuides.co, off Payhip and onto a self-hosted WordPress site (Australian server, domain at Porkbun). The new site will run Easy Digital Downloads with Stripe and PayPal in AUD and collect emails through MailerLite.
Design & layout
– Visually I’m after a modern, minimal look with a warm feel—clean lines, generous white space and friendly typography.
– The homepage should present category-based sections rather than a hero slider, so visitors can jump straight to what interests them.
Store structure , Logo is charcoal and gold has been used stacked and side by side.
Around 20 paid ebooks and 8 free guides need to be organised into six clear categories. Each free guide must trigger a MailerLite signup before download. Please migrate existing Payhip products, then set up 301 redirects so no old links break.
Core pages & blog
Standard pages (Home, Shop, About, Contact, Policies) plus a blog. On the blog I only need a search bar and related-posts suggestions beneath each article—no public comments. Make it simple for me to add new books, freebies and posts later without touching code.
Marketing & analytics
• Social sharing buttons on product and blog pages
• Embedded Instagram feed
• Meta Pixel and Pinterest Tag installed
• Clean product links I can drop into Instagram and TikTok bios or posts
SEO, security & maintenance
Configure Rank Math (or Yoast if you prefer) and Google Search Console, harden security, and set up automated off-site backups.
Domain & ownership
Connect my Porkbun domain, point DNS, and ensure every tool, licence, and account stays in my name—nothing locked to you.
Handover
When it’s done, record a short walkthrough video showing how to add a new ebook, a freebie, and a blog post. We’ll structure payment by milestones: setup, migration, testing, handover.
If this sounds like your kind of build, let’s chat timelines and get started.
