WordPress Code Optimization and Security Audit

I’m looking for an experienced WordPress developer to thoroughly review an existing WordPress website, including its custom HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress-specific code.

The goal is to identify areas where the code can be improved, simplified, optimized, and made more secure without changing the existing design or functionality unless necessary.

Areas of focus:

- Review custom HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress code
- Identify and correct inefficient, redundant, outdated, or unnecessary code
- Recommend and implement coding improvements where appropriate
- Review the website for potential security vulnerabilities and weaknesses
- Improve website performance and page loading times
- Identify unnecessary plugins, scripts, styles, or other resources that may affect performance
- Review how CSS and JavaScript are loaded and optimized
- Check for potential conflicts between custom code, the theme, and plugins
- Follow current WordPress development and security best practices
- Provide recommendations for longer-term maintenance and optimization

I’m looking for someone who can first analyze the existing website and explain what should be improved, rather than simply making changes without understanding the current setup.

Experience with custom WordPress development, performance optimization, and WordPress security is required.
