My WordPress site is running on a theme that looks fine to visitors, yet the template files in the back-end are outdated. I need someone to bring those theme files up to current WordPress standards so future core or plugin updates don’t break anything and so I can keep using the visual editor without glitches.
Scope
• Update the theme’s PHP, CSS and any bundled JavaScript only where necessary to eliminate deprecated functions and align with the latest WordPress coding standards.
• Preserve every pixel and interaction on the front-end—no design or layout changes should be visible to users.
• Ensure the Customizer, widgets, menus, and other admin-side controls continue working smoothly after your changes.
Deliverable
A refreshed theme folder (or child-theme, if that’s the safer route) ready to be uploaded, plus a short changelog describing what you touched and why, so I can track it for future maintenance.
