I’m looking for a developer who can build a WooCommerce plugin that turns a single product page into a complete configurator for printing and promotional items.
The flow I envision is:
• The plugin pulls a JSON feed of productOptions from the WooCommerce REST API and caches it smartly so pages stay quick.
• When a shopper lands on a product, only the option set that matches that product type appears—e.g. large-format banners show size, substrate and grommet choices, while photo gifts reveal paper weight, coating, etc.
• Once the buyer finishes their selections, the plugin looks at the final combination of options and automatically decides which finishing step to offer: a simple artwork upload, an online product designer, or an on-the-spot pre-flight check. All three must be available and switchable per rule.
• The chosen step should hand its data back to the cart seamlessly so orders arrive in WooCommerce with every technical detail attached.
Technical notes
• Must run on a WordPress Multisite network without conflicts.
• Code needs to follow WordPress security best practices (nonces, capability checks, sanitized input/output) and be organised for easy future upgrades.
• Compatibility with the current WooCommerce REST API, latest PHP, and standard JS frameworks is expected; please outline any external libraries you plan to integrate.
• Deliver the full plugin, install/usage notes, and brief inline documentation so I can extend the option-rule set later.
If this sounds straightforward for you, let’s talk timeline and milestones.
