I need a developer to overhaul the WooCommerce product gallery so shoppers can examine every item in detail without extra clicks or page reloads.
What the finished gallery must do:
• Hover-based lens zoom on desktop
• Click-to-open, full-screen lightbox with navigation
• Horizontal, scrollable thumbnail strip under the main image
• Seamless video support—whether I paste a YouTube link or upload an MP4, it should appear in the same gallery flow
• Mobile-friendly swipe gestures for images and videos
• Automatic image switch when a customer picks a variation (colour, size, etc.)
• Lazy loading to keep Core Web Vitals healthy
• Visible corner badges (Sale, New, Best Seller) layered on the gallery images, pulled from product data or an easy custom field
Please work within standard WooCommerce hooks so the solution survives theme updates, and keep any added JavaScript/CSS lightweight. I’m happy with a custom plugin or a well-documented functions.php implementation—whichever is cleaner.
Deliverables:
1. Working gallery integrated on my staging site
2. Clear installation and rollback instructions
3. Source files and brief code comments for future maintenance
If you’ve tackled similar galleries, share a link. I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right fit.
