The job involves two parallel tracks under a single, cohesive Windows environment. First, an existing desktop program needs a round of improvements—bug fixes, performance tuning, and a couple of feature extensions that I will detail once we go over the codebase together. Second, I’m ready to kick-off a brand-new Windows application that will share some libraries with the legacy tool but follow a cleaner, modern architecture from the outset.
Both pieces must compile cleanly in Visual Studio and run on current Windows 10/11 builds. You’re free to suggest the stack—C#, .NET 6/7, WPF, WinUI, or even C++/Qt—so long as it aligns with Windows-first deployment and can be handed over with full source, build scripts, and lightweight unit tests.
Deliverables
• Updated source for the existing app, with change log and clear build instructions
• Green-field project scaffold (solution, project files, and initial modules) ready for iterative feature drops
• Brief setup guide so I can clone, build, and run both projects without surprises
I’ll supply the current repository and user stories for the new tool after kickoff; you return well-commented code, commit history, and a short hand-off call to close out.
