I already have a complete draft for a living public figure sitting in my Wikipedia sandbox, formatted in Wiki-markup with infobox, categories, and images. The text itself is solid; the snag is notability. Most citations at the moment point to personal websites, social media posts, or company press releases, so the draft is still tagged as “needs reliable sources” and cannot pass the Articles for Creation review.
Here’s where I need your expertise:
• Audit the current draft for any policy red flags—promotional tone, original research, close paraphrasing, COI wording, etc.
• Replace or supplement weak references with independent, reliable, secondary sources (major news coverage, reputable magazines, books, academic journals).
• Re-structure citations using tags and the Wikipedia citation templates so every statement of fact is verifiable.
• Bring the article fully in line with the Biographies of Living Persons guidelines, Manual of Style, and Notability (people) policy.
• Submit the polished version through AfC and handle any back-and-forth with reviewers until it is accepted into mainspace.
Acceptance criteria
1. Draft passes AfC review without tags for notability, sourcing, or tone.
2. All new sources meet Wikipedia’s reliability standards and appear in the reference list with proper formatting.
3. No policy violations (BLP, Copyright, COI).
If you’re comfortable navigating Wikipedia’s review process and can quickly surface solid third-party coverage, let’s get this bio published.
