Whimsical Fantasy Cover Illustration

I’m preparing the release of a fantasy novel and need a bright, whimsical cover that immediately transports readers into the story’s magical world. The focal point should be vivid, friendly-yet-majestic dragons that hint at wonder rather than menace. Think saturated colours, glowing accents, and a sense of playful enchantment rather than darkness.

The composition must work as a full wrap (front, spine, back) for a standard 6" × 9" paperback, with ample bleed and clear space for title, author name, and back-cover text I will supply later. I’ll also need a trimmed version optimised for Kindle.

Key deliverables:
• High-resolution print-ready PDF (300 dpi, CMYK)
• Layered PSD or Procreate file so my designer can adjust text placement
• Web-ready JPEG (RGB) for online stores

Please bring your own illustrative flair—hand-painted, digital painting, or mixed media are all welcome—as long as the final piece captures that uplifting, fairy-tale mood with dragons front and centre. If you’ve worked on children’s or YA fantasy covers before, do share links; otherwise, a quick rough sketch or portfolio sample featuring similarly whimsical creatures will help me gauge style fit.
