# One-Time Deployment of Lovable WhatsApp Reminder App

## Project Overview

I have built a personal productivity application using Lovable. The application helps me manage contacts, schedule reminders, and send WhatsApp messages at selected times.

The application is already developed, and the source code has been pushed to a private GitHub repository. I need an experienced developer to complete the initial setup and deployment so that I can independently update and redeploy the application in the future without requiring ongoing technical support.

This is a **one-time fixed-scope project**, not a long-term development or maintenance engagement.

## Current Setup

- Application built using Lovable.
- Source code available in a private GitHub repository.
- Initial technology stack:
- GitHub for source code.
- Cloudflare Pages for frontend hosting.
- Supabase for database and authentication, if required.
- Railway for backend hosting, scheduled jobs, and WhatsApp-related server processes.
- The application is for personal work management and reminders, not mass marketing.
- The application may manage a large contact list and related data, but the freelancer must not download or retain my personal WhatsApp data.

## Scope of Work

### 1. Review Existing Code

- Review the Lovable-generated code in GitHub.
- Identify the frontend framework, backend components, database requirements, and environment variables.
- Confirm whether changes are needed before deployment.
- Explain the architecture and important dependencies.

### 2. Configure GitHub

- Confirm that the repository is correctly structured.
- Configure the appropriate production branch.
- Set up a safe `.gitignore` file.
- Ensure that API keys, passwords, tokens, WhatsApp sessions, and other secrets are not committed.
- Create an `.env.example` file containing variable names only.
- Confirm that the repository remains private.

### 3. Deploy Frontend on Cloudflare

- Connect the GitHub repository to Cloudflare Pages.
- Configure the correct framework, build command, and output directory.
- Add frontend environment variables securely.
- Configure the production URL or custom domain, if applicable.
- Enable automatic deployments when changes are pushed to the selected GitHub branch.
- Configure preview deployments if useful.
- Test the deployed application.

### 4. Configure Supabase

- Create or configure the Supabase project.
- Set up the required database tables, relationships, indexes, and security policies.
- Configure authentication if required by the application.
- Configure Row Level Security correctly.
- Set up required storage buckets only if needed.
- Ensure the Supabase service-role key is never exposed in frontend code.
- Explain how to manage tables, users, policies, and settings.

### 5. Deploy Backend on Railway

- Deploy the backend from GitHub to Railway.
- Configure build and start commands.
- Add environment variables securely.
- Configure persistent storage if required for WhatsApp sessions or application data.
- Configure restart behavior and health checks.
- Set up scheduled jobs, workers, or queues as required.
- Explain how to view logs, restart services, redeploy, and manage environment variables.
- Confirm that the backend does not depend on temporary storage for important data.

### 6. Configure WhatsApp Integration

- Configure the WhatsApp integration already used or expected by the application.
- Explain how to connect and reconnect the WhatsApp account.
- Store authentication and session data securely.
- Ensure session files are not committed to GitHub.
- Test messaging with my own number and a small number of manually selected contacts.
- Add or verify:
- Rate limits.
- Retry limits.
- Duplicate-message prevention.
- Message status logging.
- An emergency pause or kill switch.

The freelancer must clearly explain the risks and limitations of unofficial WhatsApp Web automation. Do not scrape, export, or copy my personal WhatsApp data. Do not use my account or data for any purpose outside this project.

## Self-Service Deployment Requirement

The most important requirement is that I must be able to maintain and deploy future changes myself.

Please configure and document the following workflow:

```text
Make changes in Lovable
Sync or push code to GitHub
Cloudflare deploys the frontend
Railway deploys the backend
Apply Supabase changes when required
```

The documentation must explain:

- How to update the application in Lovable.
- How to verify changes in GitHub.
- How to deploy frontend changes.
- How to deploy backend changes.
- How to update environment variables.
- How to update the database safely.
- How to restart services.
- How to read application and deployment logs.
- How to reconnect WhatsApp if the session expires.
- How to roll back to a previous version.
- How to troubleshoot common errors.
- How to back up and recover important configuration.

I should not need a developer for normal future deployments or small application improvements.

## Required Deliverables

Please provide:

1. Fully deployed and working frontend.
2. Fully deployed and working backend.
3. Configured Supabase project.
4. Configured Railway service or services.
5. Secure WhatsApp connection.
6. GitHub-to-Cloudflare deployment workflow.
7. GitHub-to-Railway deployment workflow.
8. Database schema and security policies.
9. Environment-variable reference.
10. Architecture diagram.
11. Complete setup and maintenance guide in Markdown or PDF.
12. Backup and recovery instructions.
13. Rollback instructions.
14. WhatsApp reconnection instructions.
15. Troubleshooting guide.
16. Short handover call or recorded walkthrough.

## Testing and Acceptance Criteria

The project will be considered complete when:

- The frontend is deployed and accessible.
- The backend is running successfully.
- The application connects to Supabase.
- Login works, if included.
- Contacts and schedules can be created, updated, and retrieved.
- A test message can be sent successfully.
- A scheduled message works correctly.
- Duplicate messages are prevented after a restart or retry.
- Failed messages are logged clearly.
- The WhatsApp session can be reconnected using the written instructions.
- A new GitHub commit automatically deploys the relevant service.
- I can make a small change in Lovable and deploy it by following the documentation.
- I receive all information required to manage the system independently.

## Security and Ownership

- All accounts, code, domains, databases, deployments, and data must remain under my ownership.
- Use invitations or temporary access wherever possible.
- Do not request or retain my personal passwords.
- Do not commit secrets to GitHub.
- Do not copy or retain my WhatsApp session credentials.
- Do not download or retain my WhatsApp data, contacts, or messages.
- Do not use my data for testing outside this project.
- Remove temporary access after completion.
- Provide a list of all credentials, tokens, environment variables, and permissions created.
- Inform me of any security, privacy, or platform-related risks.

## Preferred Experience

Please apply only if you have experience with several of the following:

- Lovable applications.
- GitHub and Git workflows.
- Cloudflare Pages or Workers.
- Supabase PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage, and Row Level Security.
- Railway deployments.
- React, TypeScript, Node.js, or the framework used in the repository.
- Background workers and scheduled jobs.
- Docker and persistent storage.
- WhatsApp Web automation or WhatsApp Business Cloud API.
- Secure API-key and session management.

## Proposal Requirements

Please include:

1. Examples of similar projects.
2. Your proposed architecture after reviewing the repository.
3. Confirmation that you will provide complete self-service documentation.

## Engagement Terms

- One-time setup only.
- Fixed project price preferred.
- No ongoing maintenance is required.
- Future feature development will be handled separately.
- The freelancer must obtain approval before making changes outside the agreed scope.
