I want to give my customers an easy way to ask about any product through WhatsApp and instantly receive accurate, up-to-date details. The task is to design, code, and hand over a chatbot that sits on my existing WhatsApp Business number and handles all “Information retrieval” requests about our catalog.
Core flow
• Customer sends a product name, SKU, or keyword.
• Bot looks the item up in my data source (JSON, CSV, Google Sheet, or a small SQL table—whichever you recommend for stability and easy updates).
• It replies with price, brief description, availability, and a link or image.
• If the query doesn’t match anything, the bot offers alternative suggestions and, on repeated failure, escalates to a live agent.
Technical notes
Use any robust WhatsApp Business API approach (Meta Cloud API, Twilio, Gupshup, etc.) as long as it keeps running after hand-off and I can swap keys without code changes. I’m on a shared cPanel server but can spin up a small VPS or Heroku-style container if Node.js, Python (Flask/FastAPI), or PHP is better suited. Please build it so product data can be refreshed with a simple file upload or sheet edit—no code redeploys.
Deliverables
1. Source code with a short README that covers local setup, environment variables, and deployment.
2. Simple admin guide showing how to update the product list and where logs live.
3. One live demo call to verify everything works end-to-end on my WhatsApp Business number.
Timeline is flexible—there’s no hard deadline—so quality, clarity, and clean hand-off matter more than speed.
