PROJECT TITLE

Specialist for Realistic Weld Joint Geometries and Multi-Pass Weld Visualizations – Approximately 300 Static Images

PROJECT OVERVIEW

I am looking for a specialist to create approximately 300 consistent static images showing weld-joint preparations and realistic welding sequences.

The software used is not important. The images may be created with any suitable combination of:

- CAD software
- 3D modelling software
- Rendering software
- Technical illustration software
- Vector or raster graphics software
- Parametric modelling tools
- Scripts or automated image-generation tools

Autodesk Inventor is not required.

The final result, technical accuracy and consistent appearance are more important than the software used.

PROJECT SCOPE

An Excel combination matrix with approximately 150 configurations will be provided.

Two separate images are required for every configuration:

1. One weld-joint geometry image
2. One corresponding welding-sequence image

The complete scope is approximately 300 static images.

TOTAL FIXED PRICE

The fixed total budget for the complete project is EUR 100.

The price includes:

- Approximately 150 geometry images
- Approximately 150 welding-sequence images
- Required corrections
- Correct filenames
- Completed Excel matrix
- Final static PNG files
- Any templates, models or scripts used to generate the images, if available

Please apply only if you can complete the entire project for this fixed price.

TEN EVALUATION IMAGES

Before selecting the freelancer, ten sample images are required:

- Five weld-geometry images
- Five corresponding welding-sequence images
- Ten sample images in total

The five sample configurations will be provided separately.

Watermarked previews are acceptable. Samples from applicants who are not selected will not be used commercially.

The samples must demonstrate:

- Correct weld-joint preparation
- Exact agreement between the 3D view and cross-section
- Consistent isometric presentation
- Realistic steel surfaces
- Realistic weld-metal appearance
- Correct individual weld-bead arrangement
- Correct pass numbering
- Correct fusion between weld beads
- Correct fusion with the base material
- Consistent layout and filenames

After approval of the ten samples, the selected freelancer must create all remaining images as one complete order.

GEOMETRY IMAGE REQUIREMENTS

Every geometry image must show:

- An isometric 3D representation in the upper section
- A precise technical cross-section in the lower section
- Exactly the same geometry in both views
- A white or very light-grey background
- Realistic steel surfaces
- Consistent lighting, scale and camera angle
- Parametric dimension symbols without numerical values
- No title at the top
- No logo or watermark

Possible dimension symbols:

- t – material thickness
- b – root gap
- c – root face
- α – groove angle
- r – radius
- a – fillet-weld throat thickness
- d – diameter
- l – length
- e – weld width
- p – pitch

The upper representation must geometrically match the lower cross-section. Visually approximated or contradictory geometries will not be accepted.

WELDING-SEQUENCE REQUIREMENTS

Every welding-sequence image must use the same base geometry as its corresponding geometry image.

It must show:

- Realistic deposited weld metal
- Individually visible weld beads
- Continuous pass numbering
- Thin leader lines from each number to the correct bead
- Realistic fusion between adjacent beads
- Realistic fusion with both groove faces
- Smooth transitions into the base material
- No black gaps
- No unrealistic cavities
- Complete filling of the joint
- A technically plausible welding order

MULTI-PASS ARRANGEMENT

The weld beads must not simply be stacked vertically in the centre.

Their arrangement must follow the widening shape of the groove.

Example for a six-pass V-groove weld:

- Bottom third: pass 1 alone
- Middle third: pass 2 on the left and pass 3 on the right
- Upper third: passes 4, 5 and 6 next to each other
- Each zone occupies approximately one third of the groove height

The beads must look metallurgically fused while their individual boundaries remain visible.

PRODUCT FORMS

- PP – plate to plate
- TP – tube to plate
- TT – tube to tube

JOINT TYPES

- BW – butt weld
- FW – fillet weld

WELD DETAILS

- ss – single-pass or single-sided configuration
- ml – multi-pass configuration

WELDING POSITIONS

The Excel matrix may include:

- PA
- PB
- PC
- PD
- PE
- PF
- PG
- H-L045
- J-L045
- PH
- PJ

Pipe positions such as H-L045 and J-L045 must only be used for technically suitable pipe configurations.

JOINT PREPARATIONS

The required preparations may include:

- I-groove
- V-groove
- X-groove
- Y-groove
- Double-Y groove
- HV groove
- HY groove
- HU groove
- Double-HV / K-groove
- Double-HY groove
- Double-HU groove
- DV / K-groove
- U-groove
- Double-U groove
- J-groove
- Double-J groove
- Flanged joint
- Fillet weld
- Single-sided fillet weld
- Double-sided fillet weld
- Plug weld
- Slot weld
- Spot weld
- Seam weld

Only technically valid combinations from the approved matrix must be produced.

IMAGE FORMAT

Every final image must be delivered as:

- Static PNG
- 1536 × 1024 pixels
- sRGB
- White background
- Sharp edges
- No logo
- No watermark
- No heading
- No numerical dimensions

A reduced version may additionally be required at 512 × 341 pixels.

FILE NAMING

All filenames must follow this structure:

[Joint type]__[Product form]_[Position]_[Detail]_[Joint preparation]_[Image type].png

Examples:

BW__PP_PA_ml_V-Naht_GEOMETRY.png

BW__PP_PA_ml_V-Naht_WELD-SEQUENCE.png

BW__TT_H-L045_ss_V-Naht_GEOMETRY.png

BW__TT_H-L045_ss_V-Naht_WELD-SEQUENCE.png

Rules:

- Two underscores between joint type and product form
- No spaces
- Replace slashes with hyphens
- Do not add version numbers
- Retain the German joint names from the matrix
- Every filename must match its Excel row

FINAL DELIVERY

The complete delivery must include:

- Approximately 300 static PNG images
- Completed Excel production matrix
- Clearly organised folders
- Correct filenames
- Any editable source files, templates, models or scripts used, if available

The selected freelancer must state in advance which program or workflow will be used.
