Weekly Bookkeeping & Accounting Practice

I have just opened a small Ayurveda clinic and want the accounting side built correctly from day one. Right now I do not have any software in place, so I am open to your recommendation—whether that ends up being QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, or another platform that suits a healthcare service with modest transaction volume.

What I need from you:
• Configure a simple, clinic-specific chart of accounts and migrate any opening balances.
• Put the chosen cloud software in place, set user roles, link the bank feed, and document each step so the process is repeatable.
• Handle weekly bookkeeping: coding expenses, reconciling the bank, and keeping everything current so nothing piles up.
• Produce clear month-end financial reports that I can rely on for decision-making and, later, for tax preparation.
• Draft an easy-to-follow day-to-day workflow checklist for my reception staff (for example, how to record cash vs. card payments, store invoices, flag reimbursements, etc.).

Acceptance criteria:
1. Software fully live with a working bank feed and accurate opening balances.
2. First four weeks of transactions reconciled without outstanding items.
3. A concise SOP document (PDF or Google Doc) that outlines every daily and weekly accounting task.
4. Delivery of the first month’s financial statements—P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow snapshot—generated directly from the new system.
