I need a web-based inventory system that lets me see, in real time, what I have on hand, what has been sold, and exactly how each sale affects my bottom line. Every stock-keeping unit may be purchased or produced in lots, so the system must allow me to group items by lot, trace their movement, and reconcile quantities automatically. As items leave the warehouse, I want automatic profit-and-loss calculations that factor in cost per lot, selling price, fees, and any manual adjustments I make.

Day-to-day, my staff will also use this platform as a lightweight task manager: assigning picking, packing, restocking, and counting duties with deadlines and status updates tied back to the relevant stock items. A clear dashboard that shows outstanding tasks alongside key inventory and financial metrics is essential.

Core modules I must see working:
• Item & lot master data with bulk import/export
• Real-time stock ledger with sold-item traceability
• Automatic profit/loss reporting per sale, per lot, and overall
• Employee task assignments linked to items or locations
• Role-based access, audit logs, and responsive UI for desktop/tablet

When you reply, include a detailed project proposal that explains your architecture choice, key milestones, and the technologies you will use (framework, database, hosting approach, security measures). I will shortlist based on how clearly your plan maps to the requirements above and how easily I can maintain the code after hand-off.
